Super Q Misua is a fine wheat-flour noodle that cooks very fast, so it goes in last, right before serving.

Ingredients

160 g Super Q Misua (one pack)
2 small cans sardines in tomato sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium tomato, chopped (optional)
5 cups water
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp cooking oil
Ground pepper, to taste
1 egg, beaten (optional)
Spring onions, chopped, to serve

Instructions

Sauté
Heat the oil and sauté the garlic, onion and tomato until soft.

Add the sardines
Add the sardines with all their sauce. Break them into pieces gently and cook for about two minutes.

Make the soup
Pour in the water, season with the fish sauce and pepper, and bring to a boil.

Add the misua last
Add the Super Q Misua and cook only as long as the pack directs. Misua cooks very fast. If you are using the egg, swirl it in now.

Serve hot
Ladle into bowls and top with spring onions.

Tips

Add the misua only when everyone is ready to eat. It keeps drinking the soup and thickens as it sits.

A beaten egg swirled in at the end makes it more filling without another trip to the store.
